Why I Chose to Run for County Auditor
Across Montgomery County, I’ve had countless conversations with residents who are asking the same questions.
Why are property taxes rising so quickly?
Why does the system feel difficult to navigate?
And where is the accountability?
These conversations—not politics—are what led me to step forward and run for Montgomery County Auditor.
I didn’t enter this race as part of a political plan. Instead, I stepped in because people deserve answers, clarity, and leadership that puts their interests first.
Montgomery County Auditor Leadership Should Be About Service
For more than 25 years, my professional life has been built on service. As a real estate broker, my role has never been to “close deals” at all costs. In fact, there have been many times I’ve advised clients not to buy or sell—because it wasn’t in their best interest.
That same principle guides me today.
Montgomery County Auditor leadership should be grounded in:
- Honest guidance
- Clear communication
- Responsible decision-making
Because when people trust the process, they can make better decisions for themselves and their families.
Independence Matters More Than Politics
While I am a registered Republican, my approach has never been driven by party expectations.
Instead, I’ve always focused on outcomes.
That means asking the right questions, evaluating the facts, and making decisions based on what serves the people—not what fits a political narrative.
Strong Montgomery County Auditor leadership requires independence, especially when addressing complex issues like property valuation, tax distribution, and public accountability.
Financial Responsibility Starts at the Top
If we expect accountability in public office, it must begin with how we operate ourselves.
I made the decision to personally invest in launching this campaign, with early support coming primarily from individual contributors. That was intentional.
Because fiscal responsibility isn’t just something to talk about—it’s something to demonstrate.
Campaigns today can often rely heavily on large-scale spending. However, I believe there is a better path forward. One that focuses on:
- Building trust
- Earning support
- Staying grounded in responsible decision-making
These are the same values that should guide Montgomery County Auditor leadership.
A Focus on Transparency and Accountability
The Auditor’s office plays a critical role in how property values are assessed and how tax dollars are distributed.
However, many residents feel disconnected from the process.
That needs to change.
With the right leadership, we can:
- Improve transparency in property records and valuations
- Strengthen communication with residents
- Ensure systems are accurate, responsive, and accountable
Montgomery County Auditor leadership should not operate behind the scenes—it should work openly, clearly, and in the best interest of taxpayers.
A Question Worth Asking Before You Vote
As you consider your vote, I encourage you to reflect on one simple question:
Are you satisfied with what you’ve seen from the Auditor’s Office over the past 26 years?
Or is it time for a new perspective—one that focuses on accountability, transparency, and putting taxpayers first?
Moving Forward Together
This campaign has always been rooted in one belief:
Leadership is not about position—it’s about responsibility.
I don’t answer to a political party or outside influence. I answer to the people of Montgomery County.
And I will only succeed in this role if I earn your trust and your vote.
